As a U.S. Army veteran and trained firearms instructor, Brian Knox understands firsthand the importance of responsible gun ownership—and the legal complexities that come with it. Whether you're a seasoned firearms enthusiast, a collector of NFA items, or someone new to the world of trusts, we are here to help you make informed, confident decisions about how your firearms are owned, used, and passed down.

What Is a Firearms Trust?

A firearms trust—also known as a gun trust or NFA trust—is a special kind of legal tool that allows you to legally own and manage firearms.  Some forms of trusts (NFA Trusts) are specially designed to managed ownership and transfer of NFA regulated items including:

  • Short-barreled rifles (SBRs)
  • Suppressors (silencers)
  • Short-barreled shotguns
  • Fully automatic weapons
  • Other Title II items

Other gun trusts are designed to manage ownership and use of non-NFA firearms to ensure that accidental felonies do not occur, legacy firearms and collections are managed correctly, or that charitable gifts can take place properly.

Why Use a Firearms Trust?

  • Avoid Legal Pitfalls: Firearms are heavily regulated. Owning or transferring them incorrectly—even unintentionally—can lead to serious consequences. A firearms trust helps you stay within the law.
  • Shared Use & Access: A trust allows multiple responsible parties (co-trustees) to legally possess and use NFA firearms. Regarding non-NFA firearms, a trust who can and cannot receive ownership and/or possession of any firearm, avoiding potential felonies by you or the receiver.
  • Privacy & Control: No public probate. No unnecessary red tape. A trust gives you more control over how your firearms are passed down.
  • Peace of Mind: Your legacy—your collection, your rights, your values—are protected and preserved the right way.

Why Work With Me?
